The usual West Perth callouts
West Perth sits between the city and Subiaco, and it’s mostly offices, medical practices and apartment blocks. Workday breakdowns are the most common job: a car that won’t crank after a day in a building basement, a flat battery in a timed bay on Hay Street, or a hybrid that throws up a warning light and refuses to move. We collect plenty of these and take them straight to the owner’s mechanic.
The Mitchell Freeway runs along the eastern side of the suburb, and the interchange with the Graham Farmer Freeway brings heavy merging traffic. Peak hour fender benders on those ramps are common, and we handle them as accident towing with insurer billing.
Main routes through West Perth
Hay Street and Murray Street carry traffic between the Perth CBD and Subiaco. Thomas Street marks the western edge, and Kings Park Road runs along the south towards the park. The Mitchell Freeway cuts through the eastern side on its way past Northbridge, with ramps feeding in and out of the suburb. Colin Street and the smaller cross streets are lined with short-stay bays that fill up early.
Because space is tight, we often load cars on narrow streets with parked cars both sides. Our drivers are used to positioning carefully, and lowered or prestige vehicles go on with soft straps rather than chains.
Need a tow in West Perth? Quick checklist
- If you’re on the freeway, stay with the car with hazards on, or behind a barrier if you can reach one safely.
- In a basement, check the level and bay number before you ring.
- On the street, note whether the bay has a time limit so we can prioritise moving you.
- Have your insurer’s claim number handy if there’s been a collision.
