Why Padbury drivers call us
Padbury runs right along the western side of the Mitchell Freeway, and the stretch between the Hepburn Avenue and Whitfords Avenue interchanges is one of the busiest sections of the northern commute. Breakdowns in the left lane and multi-car shunts in the afternoon peak are the jobs that need us most urgently, and we’ll usually clear the car to a safe spot first and sort the destination after.
Whitfords station brings a different kind of call. Cars sit for hours in the commuter car park, and when the owner comes back after dark the battery or starter motor has given up. Inside the suburb, quiet streets around Walter Padbury Boulevard and the Hepburn Heights pocket mean ordinary breakdown towing: cars that won’t start in the morning, overheating in summer and the odd failed fuel pump.
Padbury’s road network
The four big roads form a box. Whitfords Avenue runs along the north, with Craigie across the road. Hepburn Avenue runs along the south, with Duncraig on the other side. Marmion Avenue marks the west, where Hillarys and Sorrento begin, and the freeway forms the eastern edge next to Kingsley.
Walter Padbury Boulevard and the local loop roads feed out to those arterials, which is handy for us because there’s usually a quick way in from at least two directions.
When your car stops in Padbury
- On the freeway, put your hazards on and wait behind the barrier, not in the car on the shoulder.
- In the station car park, note the row and the nearest light pole number if one is marked.
- On Whitfords or Hepburn Avenue, try to coast into a side street or bus bay before the car stops completely.
- Ask us about insurer billing if another vehicle was involved.
Our number is 0419 857 070, and it’s answered around the clock.
